Allergy
Testing and Nutrition
Allergy Testing is a simple method of identifying and
treating symptoms or illness resulting from food, chemical
and environmental problems.
Allergies/intolerances have become more common in recent
years. Changes in the Western diet (i.e. food/chemical
additives, diets high in yeast and sugar, environmental
pollution), together with busy stressful lives put our
bodies under extreme pressure. This situation makes
it extremely hard for the body to maintain good health,
the immune system becomes weakened, which then leads
to ill-health and the possible occurrence of allergies
and intolerances.
Method of Testing
A non-invasive approach called Applied Kinesiology is
used. It involves a sequence of muscle resistance tests
using the patient's arm (and in some cases their leg).
It is a completely safe procedure, totally painless
and can be used to test anyone from babies to the elderly.
Appointments
The first appointment takes approximately 1 hour 30
mins; a full case history will be taken, followed by
allergy testing and vitamin and mineral analysis. A
personal nutritional programme will then be drawn up,
which invariably will include the use of vitamins /
minerals.
On the second appointment 4/5 weeks later (1 hour) further
testing is carried out and progress to date monitored,
followed by a further consultation 6/8 weeks later and
thereafter as required.
The benefits of Allergy Testing
Allergy testing and the appropriate nutrition can
be extremely effective in the treatment and management
of the following conditions:- bloating, aches and
pains, cystitis, headache/migraines, skin conditions,
IBS, nasal congestion, bowel problems, menstrual problems,
arthritis, depression, hyperactivity (children), asthma,
fatigue (ME), digestive disorders, Thrush and Candida
Albicans.
By establishing and correcting any nutritional imbalances
we can change the body's biochemistry to encourage
a general feeling of well being, boost the immune
responses and help bring the body back to optimum
health.
Overall - addressing/changing your own individual
diet can have a profound effect not just on your physical
health, but also on your emotional and mental well-being.
