What is Pilates?
Pilates
is a unique approach to exercise that develops body
awareness and improves and changes the body's postural
habits. It stretches, strengthens and streamlines
the muscles, creating a firm, toned, flexible and
perfectly balanced body. Exercise repetitions are
minimal (and therefore not monotonous) and effects
are quickly felt and seen. There is a vast repertoire
of exercises, which means that there is always scope
for development and progression to a higher intensity
of work.
Why Cheltenham Pilates?
At Cheltenham Pilates we believe in personal attention
for every client as each individual has different
goals and postural/muscular issues. Small groups mean
faster progress as they allow for lots of individual
attention, correction and encouragement which is not
possible in larger groups. The key to success and
long-lasting results is precise teaching which emphasises
good form, body awareness both in and outside of the
class and progression appropriate to each individual
client.
