Kate Maughfling

Katie completed her teacher training through YogaWorks with Anna Zorzou in Santorini, Greece.

The YogaWorks method comprises elements of Iyengar, Astanga and Viniyoga. There is a great emphasis on correct alignment and safety before Vinyasa flow yoga work is introduced. The breath is used to bring awareness to the body and mind, creating the union that is the focus of asana yoga. Katie also introduces the importance of core alignment and engagement to build strength both mentally and physically.

Prior to her teacher training Katie has been practicing yoga for since 1998, mainly in the Hatha and Astanga traditions. Katie has a dedicated daily yoga practice that includes meditation and breathwork. She continues to practice with a variety of teachers in the UK and Europe.

Having just returned to the UK after living abroad for the past 12 years she is passionate about taking forward her role as a yoga teacher to bring the benefits of yoga to others.
